A friend of mine from church has been battling cancer for a while now. It's strange to admit this, but I didn't feel moved to make this rosary for him until now. So I looked for beads that I thought he would like. He's been a very healthy and active guy, so these beads remind me of the outdoors with a masculine slant. The Hail Mary Beads look wood but they're not; they are 8mm brown picture jasper. The Our Father beads are 8mm steel blue painted glass with splashes of black, white, and gold. The centerpiece features St. Peregrine, the patron saint of cancer patients. The crucifix is base metal, a little larger than most that I use, with very ornate features. The chain and eye pins are silver-plated steel.
