So I was perusing the jewelry section at the local De Pere Christian Outreach Thrift Store, as I often do. I like looking for necklaces that might work well when converted to rosaries. Bingo. I found two such necklaces last week. One had deep green beads and the other purple. I could already picture the rosaries. When I got home, after a little thought (I always listen when the Holy Spirit talks), I decided to mix the beads a bit so both rosaries would include both colors.
This rosary has all purple Hail Mary beads, while the Our Father beads came from the green necklace. All beads are 8mm diameter. The centerpiece is also recycled, an image of Jesus with the cross. The ornate crucifix is sterling silver, recycled as well. Everything in this rosary, except for the chain, is recycled.
