U.S. Sacred Heart of Jesus Rosary — As the United States of America commemorates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 2026, the USCCB joins this celebration by lifting up the contributions of Catholics and the impact of our faith on the history of this country. In a historic moment, the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 11, 2026, and they invite all parishes to join in this consecration. Details of this event are available in their program titled, "We Hold These Truths."

With patriotism being one of the four core principles of the Knights of Columbus, I decided to make a series of rosaries during 2026 to commemorate this celebration.

This rosary is a good example of just allowing the Holy Spirit to guide every aspect. I started this one thinking I'd have white beads included but as I made it, I changed that. Unlike most other rosaries I make, I assembled all of the beads on this before I even had a crucifix and a centerpiece picked out. So, the beads are 8mm red and blue Czech glass beads. The wood-colored beads are actually brown picture jasper beads; for me, the wood look though is a nod to the wood of the cross. The centerpiece is metal with an image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The crucifix, unlike all of the other parts, is recycled. I can't tell you why I did that, I was just looking at my supply of crucifixes and something told me to put this one on there. A metal-colored American flag hangs on the side. The chain, eye pins, and jump rings are all silver-plated steel.
