This is one of those rosaries that has significant sentimental value. This lady from Illinois sent me a photo of her rosary that had been ripped apart by her grandson. It was given to her by her grandmother who got it at the Vatican and had it blessed by Pope John Paul II. So, challenge accepted.

Due to the extensive damage, my only option was to disassemble the original rosary and just build a new rosary using new chain. Unfortunately, this rosary was also missing one bead. It can often be difficult to find a bead that matches and still kind of looks "old" like the others. Since I didn't have one here from other recycled rosaries, my only option was to purchase some brand new beads. Fortunately, I was able to find some beads that match almost exactly. Looking at the final result, you can't even tell which bead is brand new.

They are all 4mm faceted beads with a slight pinkish hue. The centerpiece is that gentle image of Mary holding baby Jesus. I love the simplicity of the crucifix; as important as it is, it also doesn't take away from the love depicted on the centerpiece. The chain, jump rings, and eye pins are all brand new in a bronze tone.
