This was an interesting rosary as it raised an issue that I come across occasionally. Richie from Virgina asked if I could repair his Knights of Columbus rosary. I have a rosary very similar to his that was given to me when I became a Knight back in 2004. The issue is that many of the rosaries that the Knights use have beads that are glued and molded to the chain. It makes them very rugged but it also makes them difficult to repair. And in my case, I just can't repair it. I don't have a way to remove the beads from the chain so that I can rebuild it.

So, we decided that we'd still salvage the crucifix and centerpiece and make a brand new rosary. This meant that we needed to find 59 beads. After exchanging a few emails about this, he found some beads at his local Hobby Lobby and he sent them to me. This is a great solution as it means that the rosary will be one that is exactly like the customer wants.

The beads are all 6mm, with the black ones being shiny and the silver beads featuring a rose etched in black. What a great combination and an even better contrast. I love the overall look of this rosary, as it combines some old parts with brand new parts, and it's sure to guide him in praying the Rosary for many years to come.
