prev all rosaries next

I received this request from a man in Minnesota who wanted a custom rosary as a gift for his Mother but didn't know exactly what he wanted. So, he browsed through all of the other custom rosaries I've made and told me that he liked the beads I used in Rosary #80, but that he also preferred green. So, I checked the vendor that I used for that other rosary to see if the beads came in green shades. After exchanging a few emails and placing an order for the beads, I had all the parts I needed.

As you can see, I used a combination of matching green and purple beads. They are 8mm faceted imitation Austrian crystal beads. The centerpiece is a gentle and prayerful image of Our Lady. The crucifix is one I've used many times, with several ornate features. I love how this turned out. The chain is silver-plated steel.

This is one of those projects that took a couple of months to complete. Not only did we have to order new parts, but I messed up the original order and had to place another order; so most of that time was spent waiting. But I'm happy to put in the effort for something like this because it means that the final result is exactly what my customer requested. I love how the light travels through these beads.
